Use case

Connect two 400G servers per switch port

Run NDR InfiniBand or 400GbE from one 800G switch port to two GPU or storage servers in the same rack. At 1.5 m there is enough slack to reach servers a few units away from the switch without excess loops.

Integration

Quantum-2 to ConnectX-7 QSFP112

The twin-port OSFP end fits the cages of the NVIDIA Quantum-2 QM9700, and each QSFP112 end connects to a ConnectX-7 QSFP112 adapter. Passive direct attach copper, 1.5 m, carrying 800 Gbit/s in total as 2x 400G. Lenovo ThinkSystem part 03NA612.
