Use case

Longer switch-to-switch runs on copper

Choose the 5 m MCA4J80-N005 when QM9700 switches in adjacent racks are too far apart for shorter cables. It keeps inter-switch links in an NDR InfiniBand fabric on copper, avoiding the extra cost and power of optical transceivers.
